About Us

WEEE Regulations

Similar to producers, a distributors obligations under the WEEE regulations depend on whether they are distributing business or household products. Although distributors of business products have no legal obligations regarding the taking back of Waste electrical equipment, we at Best Engineering Services understand the importance of recycling and monitored waste disposal and will be happy to aid our customers in the safe and legal disposal of any electrical equipment covered by these regulations and either originally supplied by ourselves or the manufacturers we distribute for.

For information on how to do that please contact our office on 0161 881 1511

To check if a product is covered by these regulations look for the wheelie bin logo on the product , or on the packaging if its too small to appear on the product. The underline beneath the symbol denotes that the product entered the market after August 13th 2005 and is therefore covered by WEEE.

There is an indicative list provided by the regulators and sets out a number of exceptions. Should you need to know what is covered by these regulations then this can be found in the appendix of those regulations, or BERR WEEE guidance notes should help. These can be found on the NETRegs website www.netregs.gov.uk
